INSTRUCTIONS OF USE
• Open the filter holder (8) with the lip on the top right hand corner by moving it outwards and
from right to left.
• Add the desired amount of coffee in the filter (9) using the spoon (12).
• Do not put too much coffee in the filter (9) and never press the coffee down. The water may
overflow.
• To obtain a stronger or milder coffee, adjust the amount of coffee in the filter to taste.
• Close the filter holder again.
• Lift the lid of the tank (6) and pour cold water into it according to the number of coffee cups you
are preparing. The marks of the water level (7) will give you an estimated quantity.
• Close the lid of the tank, place the jug on the hot plate (3) and plug the machine into the mains.
• Set the switch (2) on the ON position "I".
• The coffee will begin to flow in a short time.
• While the coffee is being made you may remove the jug (4), as the automatic anti-drip system
stops it from dripping. Take care not to remove it for too long as the coffee in the filter holder
may overflow.
• If you wish to keep the coffee hot, leave the jug (4) on the hot plate (3) and keep the coffee
machine on.
Cappuccino shaker
• The shaker works with two LR6 alkaline batteries of 1,5 V. (Not included)
• Slide the lid situated on the top side of the shaker and introduce the batteries into the indicated
position. Replace the lid.
• Do not full fill the cup or the recipient to use the shaker. Half or less of its volume is advisable to
avoid overflowing.
• Introduce the disc of the shaker 1 cm. approximately under the liquid surface and slide the switch
in its ON position.
• Before taking it out, remain the shaker in a vertical position and stop it switching OFF.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Before anything, make sure the coffee maker is unplugged from the mains.
• The jug, the filter and the filter holder may be cleaned with a hot soapy water taking care to rinse
them carefully afterwards.
• To remove the filter holder (8) open it completely, lift it and remove it.
• The hot plate and the body of the coffee maker should be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened
in water.
• Do not use abrasive or chemical products, such as metallic scourers, which may deteriorate the
surfaces of the appliance.
• To eliminate the alkaline deposits that with use may be formed in the water circuit, it is convenient
to treat it as follows:
- Pour a 50% solution of water and vinegar in the tank and wait 15 minutes.
- Plug the coffee maker without any coffee and allow all the solution to flow out.
- Next, make the coffee maker work only with water for a couple of times.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
• Dispose the appliance according to the local garbage regulations.
• Dispose the batteries according to the local garbage regulations.
• Never throw away the appliance or the batteries to the rubbish. So you will help to the
improvement of the environment.
• The batteries must not be mixed with other domestic residues.
