Two-hands safety switch
The hedge-trimmer is switched on by use of both of your hands. One hand is on the main-
handle, the other on the front-handle. As soon as one of the switches is released, the blades will
stop moving immediately.
Quick blade stop
In order to avoid injuries through cuts, the blade will stop within max. 0,5 seconds, as soon as
one of both switches is released.
Safety blade rail
The cutting blade set back from the blade housing reduces the risk of injuries due to
unintentional body contact.
Impact-protector
The extended guide rail prevents unpleasant shocks (blade recoil) being transmitted to the
operator due to impact with solid objects (wall, ground etc.).
Gear protection
If solid objects are caught in the cutting blade and jam the motor, switch off the machine
immediately, disconnect the power cord from the power-supply, remove the object and continue
with your work. The hedge-trimmer is fitted with an overload cut-out, which protects the gears
against mechanical damage in the event of blade jams.
Cutting hedges
• Always start trimming both sides of your hedge and then the top, in order to avoid cut
branches lying in the area, which is not yet trimmed.
• Both sides of your hedge should be trimmed upwards in a taper.
Maintenance
• Always disconnect the plug from the power-supply before commencing any work on the
machine.
• Always clean the cutting-blade after prolonged use with a cloth or brush and put some
machine-oil to the cutting-blade resp. use adequate cleaning-spray.
• Do not use liquids for cleaning the housing and let no liquids enter the inside of the housing.
• Re-sharpening and changing the cutting-blade has to be done by an authorized specialist´s
workshop.
