OPERATING INSTRUCTION
Switching On
Insert the plug into the mains wall socket and switch it on. Switch on the boilerswitch.
The power on light integrated into the switch should illuminate, the appliance will
produce steam and the tank will become pressurised.
Heating time is approximately 8 minutes with cold water. Filling boiler with hot water
will shorten heat up time.
The green "Steam Ready" indicator light signals when steam is ready for use.
The heater is repeatedly switched on during operation, in order to maintain constant
steam pressure. This will mean that the "steam ready" light will go out while the heater
is on.
NOTE: Do not switch the steam cleaner on if there is no water in the boiler.
CAUTION: Read the instructions for "Filling your Steam Cleaner With Water" (below)
before opening the Safety Filler Cap.
CAUTION: Always unplug before filling.
IMPORTANT: Do not add cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils or any other che-
micals to the water used in this appliance. Use only tap water or if the tap water in
your area is very hard use distilled/purified water.
Filling Your Steam Cleaner With Water
Step 1: Before filling the steam cleaner, remove the plug from the mains wall socket.
Step 2: Turn Safety/Filler Cap counter clockwise until removed.
Step 3: Use a refilling Bottle to add 1.5L (2_ pints) of water. Do not overfill. Replace
Safety/Filler Cap by turning clockwise.
Step 4: Plug the unit into a standard 230volt wall socket and switch on.
Step 5: Allow approximately 8 minutes for steam to reach its working temperature and
pressure. The green "Steam Ready" indicator light will illuminate.
Step 6: Connect desired attachments onto the Flexible Steam Hose.
Step 7: Upon initial use, some water may come out from the nozzle of the attachment.
This is unheated condensed water in the hose and is normal.
Refilling the boiler
When the water in the boiler has run out the red "low water" indicator will illuminate
and steam emission will decrease and stop.
CAUTION: Before refilling let the boiler cool down. When refilling the machine while it
is still hot, the first drops of water might bubble up.
Use caution when opening the Safety/Filler Cap as cap may become hot during use
and escaping steam can cause scalding.
Switching the cleaner OFF
Turn off the power-on switch and the mains wall socket.
Unplug the cleaner from the mains.
Remove the flexible steam jack from the steam socket.
Any remaining water can be left in the cleaner.
