5. MAINTENANCE
Make sure the unit is switched off before cleaning or changing the fi lter.
• Exterior cleaning:
− When cleaning the appliance, use a slightly damp cloth to clean the air inlet / outlet grille, as well as the other EX-
TERNAL parts of the unit.
− Do not apply solvent, alcohol or other chemicals to clean the unit. They can damage the plastic / metal parts and
discolor the appliance.
Filter change:
Depending on the operating speed that the appliance has worked and the quality of the air that has been fi ltering, a
fi lter life of between 6-8 months is expected. The fi lter change indicator (Fig. 2f) will indicate when it is necessary to
change the fi lter.
If you use the air purifi er in a relatively high pollution environment, you may need to change the fi lters more often
(even if the fi lter check indicator is off). You will need to change the fi lters if you experience:
− More noise.
− Less airfl ow.
− Unusual odours.
− Clogged fi lters at a glance.
Every time the fi lter is cleaned it loses fi ltering capacity, so if the fi lter has been cleaned several times, we recommend
that you replace it.
NEVER IMMERSE THE FILTER IN WATER OR APPLY SOLVENT, ALCOHOL OR OTHER CHEMICALS FOR CLEANING.
− Open the back cover (Fig. 1a) by pulling on the upper part of it to access the fi lter.
− Remove the fi lter and take the opportunity to clean the inside of the purifi er with a vacuum cleaner.
− Remove the protective bag from the new fi lter, and place it inside the purifi er with the extraction tab on the acces-
sible side (Fig. 1h).
− ¡ATTENTION! Do not leave the plastic bag within the reach of children.
− Replace the back cover, ensuring that the cover correctly touches the safety switch (Fig.1g).
− ¡ATTENTION! Whenever you access the fi lter, check the correct assembly of the back cover (Fig. 1g), since for pro-
tection, if the device is not properly put on, it will not start.
− In order to maintain the good performance of the air purifi er, use only original S&P fi lters.
− Contact the S&P After Sales Service Network if it is in Spanish territory, or your usual distributor in the rest of the
world. For its location you can consult the WEB page www.solerpalau.com
IMPORTANT
Once the fi lter has been cleaned or replaced, the device must be reset. Using a small screwdriver, pen or clip, press
the button located on the grille on the side of the appliance for 3 seconds (Fig. 3). The fi lter change indicator of the
control panel will automatically turn off (Fig. 2f).
