Battery pack

It is important to adhere to the following in-
formation and warnings.
Always read and understand the operator's
manual of the ECHO equipment used with
this battery pack.
CAUTION
 For use only with LCJQ-560 charger. Risk of fire
and burns. Do not open, crush, heat above 60ºC
or incinerate. Follow all safety instructions.
 Use only this battery pack with ECHO equipment.
Charge the battery pack before
use.
Never attempt to charge or use
a defective, damaged or de-
formed battery pack.
Store the battery pack out of
the reach of children.
 Secure the unit against unintentional startup.
 Remove the battery pack before transporting or storing
the unit.
Protect from rain.
Never soak in fluids.
Avoid direct sunlight, heat and open flames.
Use and store the battery pack only in tem-
perature range between -20ºC and +60ºC.
 Do not expose the battery pack to microwaves or high
pressure.
 Never insert objects in the cooling slots of the battery
pack.
 Never bridge (short circuit) the battery pack contacts
with metallic objects since the battery pack may get
damaged.
 While not in use, a battery pack should be kept away
from metal objects (e.g. jewellery, nails, coins).
 Do not carry a battery pack in a metal container.
 Fluid may leak from the battery pack if it is damaged or
not used properly; avoid contact with the skin, since it
can cause skin irritation and severe chemical burns. In
the event of accidental contact, wash the affected areas
of skin with plenty of water and soap. If fluid gets in the
eyes, do not rub. Rinse the eyes with plenty of water for
at least 15 minutes. Also seek medical assistance.
 DO NOT solder on battery pack.
 DO NOT reverse battery polarity or terminals.
 DO NOT reverse charge or reverse connect battery.
 Keep battery clear of flammable debris.
IMPORTANT
 Charge the battery when it no longer produces suffi-
cient power to operate the equipment or when battery
lights indicate that the battery is low.
Pressing battery charge status button (A), and check LED
display (B).
 1 green light indicates that the battery has 25%
charge.
 2 green lights indicate that the battery has 50%
charge.
 3 green lights indicate that the battery has 75%
charge.
 4 green lights indicate that the battery has 100%
charge.
IMPORTANT
 If the battery is stored for longer than one year,
charge it to approximately 40 - 60% capacity.
Do not throw electrical appliances in
garbage.
Observe all country-specific waste
disposal rules and regulations. Con-
tact your dealer for the latest information on waste dis-
posal.
