set the switch "Batt/accu" (3) according to the selected mode of operation (not necessary, if the
transmitter is only operated with the power adapter). the switch (3) must be on "Batt" (important) for
battery operation, since the charging current otherwise overheats the batteries during mains power supply;
this would damage the device.
the switch (3) must be on »accu« for rechargeable battery operation, since charging does not take place
otherwise during mains power supply. pay attention to the correct polarity "+/–", when inserting the
batteries or rechargeable batteries.
note:
new rechargeable batteries should be charged before initial use for at least 10 to 15 hours, since they
are normally delivered uncharged and/or do not have sufficient capacity due to self-discharging. normal
commercial nicd or niMH batteries can be used.
3. receiVer/start-up
the receiver has a built-in power pack with a rechargeable battery and therefore requires no additional
battery compartment or separate plug power pack.
the rechargeable battery in the receiver should likewise be charged for at least 10 to 15 hours before the
initial continuous use, since it is possible that it lacks sufficient capacity due to self-discharging.
3.1 Mains pOwer suppLy
the built in power supply plug (4) is located on the rear side of the housing. the plug is released by pressing
the key (5). the device can now be connected to the mains socket for permanent mains power supply and
simultaneous charging of the rechargeable batteries.
4. actiVatiOn OF transMitter and receiVer, setting OF FunctiOns
important note for the transmitter
the transmitter does not beep when pressing the push buttons.
important note for the receiver
it can happen that the receiver can only be activated - also during mains operation - after approximately five
minutes, because the operating voltage of the rechargeable battery is insufficient, during initial start-up
with an empty rechargeable battery or after long disuse of the device.
nOte:
the display lighting is activated for 5 seconds after each key actuation.
4.1 switching On/switching OFF
press the key (6), until the display appears (7). the control light (8) flashes "green" and a beep sounds
at the same time. switching off takes place likewise by pressing the key (6) until the screen displays
extinguish and a beep
is to be heard.
4.2 Battery / rechargeaBLe Battery capacity dispLay
the battery symbol (7.1) and three bars indicate the capacity of the batteries/rechargeable batteries:
3 bars = full power, 1 bar = low power (change battery or charge rechargeable battery)
