Dear Customer,
With the purchase of this 5 STAR paper shredder you have selected a high quality technical device
which has been manufactured using the latest engineering processes and with reliable, leading-edge
electrical and electronic parts. Please take a few minutes to read the following operating instructions
before switching on and using this device.
Many thanks for your attention. We hope you enjoy your new paper shredder.
Cautions:
1.
Please read the instruction manual before using this device.
2.
Always be sure to keep all loose objects such as e.g. clothing, ties, jewelers, hair and all other
small objects away from the feed slot in order to avoid injury.
3.
Disconnect the mains plug in the event the document shredder is not be used for a longer period
of time.
4.
Remove all paper clips and staples before inserting the paper.
5.
Always be sure to keep your fingers and hands away from the feed slot in order to avoid serious
injury.
6.
The continuous shredding operation may not longer than 2 minutes at last. Should it be
necessary to operate the device continually, it is recommended that each shredding operation be
limited to 2 minuets.
7.
The device should be setup as close as possible to an easily accessible wall socket.
8.
The document shredder must always be deactivated and disconnected form the electrical line
prior to moving, transporting and cleaning the device and prior to emptying the waste basket.
9.
Empty the waste basket frequently. Otherwise the shredder may jam. Please disconnect the
mains plug in order to empty the basket.
10. Please do not leave the document shredder unattended e.g. in the event that children or pets are
nearby.
11. The document shredder is only suitable for shredding paper, please do not insert any other
materials, the paper must be dry and clean.
12. Never open the casing. In the event of problems with the device, please contact our hotline.
13. The device may not be operated with a damaged power cord.

Electrical safety guidelines:

1. Please disconnect the mains plug when not using the device for a prolonged period of time!
2. In the event of damage to the mains cord, mains plug or the device itself, please cease operating
the device (risk of injury)!
3. Please never attempt to repair the device yourself.
4. Please do not overload the recommended capacity of the socket!
5. The mains connection of the device must be freely accessible!
6. Do not modify the mains cord in any way as it complies with the prescribed grid voltage!
