FOREWORD
As a pool owner,, the law requires you to secure the access of the pool by children
under 5 years old.
ALBON will deal with your concerns thanks to its GRILLE Freeze
safety covers which are compliant with the NF P 90-308 standard.

1.1 List of elements composing GRILLE Freeze® and GRILLE Extrem® covers

Whatever the type of swimming pool or cover position, all GRILLE Freeze
and GRILLE Extrem covers include the following components:
®
A polypropylene mesh cover (1) manufactured to the specificities of your
pool in the factory.
A bag (2) containing as many anchors (3) or anchor inserts (option) (4) or
wood deck anchors (option) (5) and springs (6) as there are straps on the
cover.
The "Installation instructions & User instructions" (7).

1.2 Checks on delivery

CAUTION
We cannot be held liable for loss or damage due to transport. Our goods are
sold ex works from ALBON. They travel at the risk of the addressee (Art. 100
of the French Commercial Code), even if we advance the transport costs on
your behalf.
1.2.1 When your order is delivered:
- - Open the pack in the presence of the delivery driver and check the condition
of the goods and their compliance.
- - Keep the original packing.
1.2.2 If there is damage or missing items:
- - Write your reserves on the delivery document (for example: cover
damaged). The statement "subject to unpacking" alone is null and void.
- - Send the transporter a registered letter (with acknowledgement of receipt)
within three days of the delivery. This letter must accurately detail the
damage found.
- - Send a copy to ALBON for information (the ALBON address features on the
last page of this document).

1.3 Installation kit

Equipment:
- - 1 wireless percussion drill (imperative: compliant with the C 15-100 standard
in France).
- - 1 drill bit (adapted to your ground type) diameter 7 mm or 10 mm depending
on the anchor being used.
- - 1 wood drill bit diameter 12 mm.
- - 1 tape measure.

installation

CAUTION
PROPER INSTALLATION = SAFETY
• The pool must have a deck (covered or not) made of properly dosed
concrete (350 kg/m
be installed (springs and anchors)
• This deck must extend to at least 0.96 m around the pool (see diagrams
below).
• The slabs covering the concrete deck must be mortared.
• The space between the top of the slabs and the upper back part of the
coping should be 4 cm maximum!

2.1 Installing a rectangular cover

2.1.1 Tracing the anchoring line
- - The label on the packaging box indicates the exact cover dimensions.
- - Note down the cover dimensions and then mark them on the deck around
the pool, spreading the overlaps evenly. Once the cover is marked in this
way, re-draw your pool shape 0.35 m bigger than the cover. This new tracing
represents the anchor drill hole line.
