The R-080515 Alginate Mixer allows easily preparing alginate paste and similar mixtures. This
machine has been designed as a simple and reliable device for the dental clinic. In order to achieve
an optimal performance and a long working life, we strongly recommend you to read carefully the
following operating instructions.
INSTALLATION
1. Carefully unpack your Alginate Mixer and make sure that the following accessories are inside the
packing:
• A power cord.
• A mixing bowl.
• A spatula for plaster-alginate (R-060002).
2. Choose a firm, stiff and well-balanced surface to place the mixer, far from heat sources,
vibrations or damp.
3. Connect the power cord to a 230 V, 50/60 Hz power source.
4. Fit the bowl (B) into the machine's fixing plate (C). To do this, fit together the two parts of the
fitting and slightly turn the bowl clockwise.
ALGINATE MIXER: INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Connect the machine to a power point of 230 V 50/60 Hz. Press general switch at the rear.
2. Place the bowl on the bowl holder. Fit bowl and bowl holder firmly and adjust them vertically.
3. Turn the bowl 1/5 turn clockwise (approx 70º).
4. Make sure it is securely fitted by pulling upwards.
5. Pour alginate and water inside the bowl in the proportions indicated by the manufacturer of the
alginate used.
6. Press slow speed (tortoise) to pre-beat the mix with the spatula (provided with the machine).
7. After a few seconds, pre-beating is finished. Then, press fast speed (hare) and mix the mixing
pressing it with the spatula. The spatula should be placed almost flat against the wall of the bowl
(Picture 1).
8. Once mixing finishes (after just a few seconds), gather the alginate mix around the wall of the
bowl moving the tip of the spatula from the bottom to the upper edge of the bowl (Picture 2).
9. Alginate mixing can be now used.
10. Place it inside a tray. Remove the bowl from the machine and clean it.
