EXTREMELY IMPORTANT
Read these safety instructions carefully in addition
to the instructions for use, operation and maintenance
and keep them for future reference.
This device should only be operated by authorised
persons after having read and understood the contents
of this manual in addition to knowing and
being authorised to use the elevation systems it is
connected to.
The leveller has been designed for levelled elevation
of loads and it is used by assembling or fitting it to
a crane or other elevation device.
It must not be used for any other type of work.
Handle the leveller as well as the crane or elevation
device it is fitted to correctly and ensure that everything
is in good condition prior to its use.
Do not modify the leveller or the equipment it is fitted
to in any way.
Non-compliance with these instructions may result
in injury or harm to the user, the leveller, the load or
the elevation elements.
The manufacturer will accept no responsibility for
misuse.
1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.1. The load to be lifted must never exceed the
nominal limit of the leveller (500 kg) or the system it
is fitted to, including the weight of the leveller.
1.2. The work area should be well illuminated, clear
of unnecessary objects, and unauthorised people,
especially children, should be kept at a
distance. No part of the body must remain under the
load and the necessary measures should be taken
to avoid sliding or unwanted movement
of the load during operations.
1.3. Ensure that the chains to be used are in perfect
state and are adequate for the weight to be elevated
or handled.
1.4. Place the load under the approximate centre of
the frame.
1.5. If it is necessary to move the load with the crane,
this must be done on a firm, regular and horizontal
surface that is also obstacle-free and well
illuminated. The elevation height should be as close
to the ground as possible.
1.6. If the leveller has suffered any damage, do not
use it again until this has been repaired.
2. USE AND OPERATION
2.1. Ensure the load to be elevated is held securely
by the chains (16) and fit these through the securing
holes in the frame. Check that they are firmly
attached.
2.2. By turning the handle, place the support (8) in
the centre of the frame (9)
2.3. Then enter the support (8) into the crane or
elevation system hook and lift the load gently, ensuring
that it remains level. If this is not the case,
slowly lower the load and find the balance point,
moving the roller support (8) with the handle (5).
2.4. Never try to balance the load while it is suspended.
2.5. Never keep a load elevated on the leveller longer
than necessary to position it in the desired place.
2.6. Lower the load softly and make sure it is on a
firm, regular and horizontal surface where it will not
slide around.
2.7. Remove the leveller from the crane or elevation
device.
3. MAINTENANCE
3.1. Keep the leveller clean and regularly lubricate
moving parts.
3.2. Before each use, carry out a visual inspection
and rectify any deficiency found before putting into
operation.
