NOTE
It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that
generating the vacuum causes no damage to the
object to be carried (e.g. glass breakage with thin
glass or the bending of thin sheets).
Make sure that the suction surface is suitable
to withstand the intended force to be applied by
the suction device (e.g. handling at the housing,
holding of devices).
NOTE
As the suction pads are made of high grip rubber,
a dark ring may remain on the object to be carried
after the initial application and after applications
that last for a long period of time. This can
normally be removed easily with Bohle Special
Glass Cleaner (BO 51 079 10).
First of all, use the product to clean a concealed
spot to test the effect of the special glass cleaner
on the surface.

WARNING
Risk of injury caused by the load falling due
to a damaged suction lifter!
Make sure that the suction lifter is working
¡
properly before each use.
Pay particular attention to the rubber pad. It
¡
must be undamaged and not cracked in any
way.
Before each use, check the rubber pad
¡
for potential functional limitations due to
reduced elasticity, e.g. due to ageing, wear,
improper maintenance or storage.
Replace the damaged rubber pads or
¡
rubber pads with reduced holding capacity
immediately.
The suction surface and the rubber pad must
¡
be clean, dry and free of oil and grease.
The holding capacity is reduced up to its total
¡
loss on uneven, rough and porous surfaces.
Dirt between the suction pad and the lifting
¡
surface can damage the surface, rubber pad,
valve and pump mechanism.
If in doubt, perform a test lift to check the
¡
load carrying capacity of the suction lifter on
the intended object to be carried.
WARNING
Risk of injury caused by the unexpected
movement of the load due to strong wind
forces in strong air currents!
Check the expected wind load on the object
to be carried before use (e.g. outdoors or
draughts when indoors).
Generating the Vacuum
Press the suction lifter firmly on the suction
¡
surface. The rubber pads must be free of
tension and lie flat.
Produce the vacuum by repeatedly pressing
¡
the priming pump (A) (image 1). For pump-
activated models (image 2), the vacuum is
generated by repeatedly pulling the priming
pump (A).
In the first case (image 1), sufficient vacuum
¡
is achieved when the coloured ring (C) at
the pump tappet (A) is no longer visible. For
pump-activated suction lifters (image 2), a
sufficient vacuum is generated as soon as the
indicator of the pressure gauge (C) moves to
the green area.
When generating the vacuum, the pump
¡
tappet should move easily. The tappet
must be readily accessible while using the
suction lifter in case the vacuum needs to be
renewed.
