UNIVERSAL NI-CD/NI-MH BATTERY CHARGER & TESTER
1. OPERATING YOUR CHARGER:
A) Batteries must be inserted properly for good contact and correct(+) and (-) polarity direction.
B) Insert plug into wall outlet.
C) "LED RED Charging Light" goes on to indicate proper charging.
D) Do not overcharge your batteries beyond charging periods recommended for each type. NO
OTHER METHOD OF OPERATING THIS CHARGER SHOULD BE EMPLOYED.
2. TESTING YOUR BATTERIES ! -
A) Only test 1.5 volt batteries (AA A,AA,C or D cells) Higher voltage batteries will burn out tester
bulb.
B) Tester only operates when SWITCH IN TEST POSITION.
C) REMEMBER: You first determine if a battery is rechargeable by testing it .If the "Test Indicator"
lights or even glows weakly, the battery can be recharged.
D) When charging period is completed, if a battery does not brightly lightly light the "Test Indicator"
discard it.
3. NI-CD/NI-MH BATTERY CHARGING LIFE:-
More than 1000 times.
4. REGULAR AND HI-TOP BATTERIES:-
A) Recharge batteries as soon as they first start to show signs of weakness (Radio, flashlight, toy
etc, starts to act below par)
B) Batteries should not be allowed to go totally dead.
C) In some rare cases. If you permit a battery to become too run down, (drained) you may
occasionally find an odd battery which won't "recharge"
D) Don't ATTEMPT to Recharge a dead or fresh battery.
Don't charge a leaking or CORRODED Battery.

CAUTION: DON'T CHARGE LONGER THAN THE TIME INDICATED IN THE ABOVE TIME CHART
Charging Time Chart ( For reference only )
1.5-2.5 hrs. for AAA (300-500mAh)
3-4 hrs. for AAA (600-800mAh)
4.5-5 hrs. for AAA (900-1000mAh)
3.5-5 hrs. for AA (700-1000mAh)
6.5-9 hrs. for AA (1300-1800mAh)
10-12hrs. for AA (2000-2400mAh)
7.5-10hrs. for C/D (1500-2000mAh)
15-20hrs. for C/D (3000-4000mAh)
6-8hrs. for 9V (120-160mAh)
