Further Settings with the Multi Control Knob
Press and hold the multi control knob (21) to access
further setting options. Each further pressing of the
multi-controller switches to the next set point.
Turn the multi control knob to change the displayed
setting.
The following settings are possible:
BEEP
Key tone:
BEEP 2ND:
The unit sounds a beep tone
when you press and hold a multifunctional
button.
BEEP ALL:
The unit sounds a beep tone
every time you press a button.
BEEP OFF:
The unit sounds no beep tone.
AREA
Region, when the unit is used.
Europe (EUR) or USA
NOTE
Changing this setting deletes all station
presets.
TA
Traffic announcements
TA SEEK:
With activated TA function the
unit searches for a station with traffic an-
nouncements.
TA ALARM:
No automatic station search.
The unit sounds a beep tone if no traffic
information is received and NO TP/TA is dis-
played. SEEK PI is displayed if the selected
station does not transmit an RDS signal.
PI
Moving into an area where two stations
with identical AF, but different Pl code (PI =
program information) are received destabilizes
reception. In this situation you have two op-
tions:
PI SOUND:
To change stations the other
station is played for less than one second.
PI MUTE:
The other station is muted.
RETUNE Delay for automatic search with traffic an-
nouncements and/or program information:
S
(Short) after approx. 30 seconds
L
(Long) after approx. 90 seconds
MASK
Setting to mask station during search:
DPI:
Alternative frequencies with different
Pl code are excluded from the search.
ALL:
Alternative frequencies with different
Pl code and no RDS information with high
signal level are excluded from the search.
Loudness Function
Press and hold
BAND/LOU/ENT (2) to activate the
Loudness function. LOUD ON is displayed. The Loud-
ness function enhances the bass frequencies.
BAND/LOU/ENT (2) again to deactivate
Press and hold
the Loudness function. LOUD OFF is displayed.
Sound Settings
Repeatedly press
EQ/TA (19) to cycle through the
settings FLAT, CLASSIC, POP, ROCK or EQ OFF. The
selected setting is displayed.
Display Information
Repeatedly press DISP (14) to cycle through the following
display information:
Time (is automatically set if RDS reception is enabled),
radio station, programme type, frequency of the currently
set radio station, information on file names (only during
playback of a MP3 or WMA file).
NOTE
If no information is available
displayed.
If the information is too long for the display, it is
displayed as scrolling text.
Setting the time manually (in Radio Mode)
If the time should not be set automatically, proceed as
follows:
DISP (14) for a short while until the

Reset Radio
To reset the unit to default settings press RESET (25) with
a pointed object, i.e. pen.
Reset the unit when:
using it the first time after all cabling is done,
malfunctions of buttons occur,
error messages are displayed.

Radio Functions

Set RADIO Mode
Repeatedly press
MODE (20) until frequency and band
are displayed.
Select Frequency Band
Press
BAND/LOU/ENT (2) to toggle between FM1, FM2,
FM3 and AM. The selected frequency band is displayed.
Auto Search
Press
(15) or
(16) to start auto search, SEARCH is
displayed. Search stops if a station is found.
Manual Search
Press and hold
(15) or
displayed.
