EARTHING AND OTHER INSTALLATION ASPECTS
To carry out the correct installation of the totem, an 8mm triangular wrench
is required for the opening of the maintenance cover:
Inside the totem there is a mechanical support of the following characte-
ristics where there is space to make the ground connections or screw other
elements at the installer's desire:
1 Install Box
3 Install hose holder
Key 8mm
125 mm
30 mm
3mm

For the earthing of the totem according to ITC-BT-18, fi rst the earth wiring must
be connected in such a way that it contacts the mechanical support indicated
above and then make a branch to the wallboxes and the maintenance door in the
places conditioned for this purpose:
COMMISSIONING AND MAINTENANCE
At the time of commissioning it is necessary to verify the correct functioning
of the equipment by connecting it to an electric vehicle with the appropriate
connector or by using a test device. It is recommended to perform the tests for
approximately 10min to consider that the installation was successful.
It is advisable to perform maintenance tasks that basically consist of re-tightening
the main power terminals of the wallbox with an annual periodicity depending on
the use of the recharging point. Re-tightening must be performed on the power
part of the charging circuit and include:
- Electrical cabinet where the electrical protections of the wallbox
(MCB, RCD and overvoltages) are located.
- Power strip inside the wallbox or totem.
- Energy meter.
- Contactors.
In the case of the totem, additionally it is required that the nuts and screws are
located with suffi cient tightening torque to ensure the tightness of the diff erent
parts of the enclosure and the correct fi xing to the fl oor.
It is the installer's responsibility to ensure totem leveling as described in the two
possible installation methods and the correct earthing of the metal parts.
