BATTERY CHARGE STATE

A new battery is sufficient for more than 2000
measurements at 20°C/68°F. Depending on the
operating conditions, the battery service life can be
significantly longer or shorter. Low temperatures and
frequent use of Scan mode shorten the service life of
the battery.
A deteriorating battery is signaled by a flashing
measured value and target mark display. After the
display flashes for the first time, approx. 50 measure-
ments are still possible, but with increasingly
reduced range. Leica recommends the use of
brand-name batteries.
