5.
Remove the reservoir [11] from the spraying gun by turning it counter-clockwise.
6.
Fill the reservoir with the (diluted) paint. Do not fill above the 700 ml marker.
7.
Make sure to clean the viscosity cup thoroughly for future use.
Spray Gun
1.
Attach the carrying strap [B] to the attachment points [2,5] on the spray gun.
2.
Insert the air hose [6] tightly into the motor unit [C] and the spray gun [D].
3.
Unscrew the reservoir [11] from the spray gun and position the suction tube so that the maximum
amount of liquid can be sucked up. For spraying horizontal surfaces, turn the tube end
forwards [E1]. For spraying objects overhead, turn the tube end backwards [E2].
4.
Fill the reservoir with the prepared liquid and screw it tightly to the spray gun.
5.
Place the spray gun in the spray gun holder [F].
6.
Adjust the spray jet setting on the spray gun.
Caution: Make sure that the device is switched off before adjusting the spray jet. The powerful jet
may cause personal injury.
Depending on the application, you can choose from three different spray jets:
For spraying vertical surfaces, use a vertical flat jet [G1]. Turn the air cap [9] horizontally and
o
push the wings up (away from the union nut [8]) so that the air holes are directed towards the
nozzle.
For spraying horizontal surfaces, use a horizontal flat jet [G2]. Turn the air cap [9] vertically
o
and push the wings up (away from the union nut [8]) so that the air holes are directed towards
the nozzle.
For corners, edges, and hard to reach areas, use a circular jet [G3]. Push the wings of the air
o
cap [9] down (against the union nut [8]) so that the air holes are directed straight ahead.
Caution: Always make sure that both wings are up or down. Do not use the spray gun with
one wing up and one wing down [G4].
7.
Plug the power cord into a suitable mains outlet.
8.
Put the machine on a level and clean surface. Make sure that the machine cannot suck in any dust
that may interfere with the functioning.
Or, hang the machine from your shoulder using the carrying strap.
9.
Push the on/off switch [4] to switch the device on.
10. Take the spray gun out of the holder and aim it at the target object.
Note: First try out the spray gun on a piece of test material, such as a piece of cardboard.
11. Pull and hold the trigger [7] to release liquid from the nozzle [10].
Note: It takes a while before the paint comes out of the nozzle; the time which is needed for the
pump to suck up the paint and feed it to the nozzle.
12. Adjust the flow [H]: turn the flow regulator clockwise to increase the flow; turn the knob counter-
clockwise to decrease the flow.
13. When finished, place the spray gun back in the holder, switch off, and unplug from the mains.

Operation Tips

Never use the spray gun without the reservoir [11] or with an empty reservoir, to avoid damage to
the pump.
Never use the spray gun without the air filter [1]. Without the filter, dirt can be sucked into the
machine and interfere with the functioning.
Make sure the surface to be painted is clean and free of grease and dust. Mask any part that does
not need painting.
Do not use the spray gun in windy environments. When working indoors, provide for adequate
ventilation and make sure that no solvent vapours are sucked in by the spray gun.
Hold the spray gun as level as possible when spraying. Keep it at an even distance from the surface.
Do not sweep the gun like a pendulum [I]. Tip: try and move the spray gun using the whole arm
instead of the wrist.
Typically, the distance between nozzle and surface is 25-30 cm (10-12"). When using a low flow,
decrease the distance. When using a higher flow, hold the nozzle further away from the surface.
If liquid builds up on the nozzle [10] and air cap [9], clean them with a solvent or water.
Start spraying outside of the area to be painted, then move the spray gun across the surface at an
even speed. A high speed gives a thin coat, a low speed gives a thick coat.
