Caution! Read the note of use before using this product
Not to use this product within a professional framework. Intended only for domestic use.
GENERAL
Please read carefully the instruction manual as of the first start-up. When you intend to make repairs or maintenance, only use original parts. Always
keep the note of use near the tool, with provision of operating people and people in charge of maintenance.
DESCRIPTION
The chain hoists comprise a transmission system with straight and double-acting toothed symmetric wheels (see diagram).
Operating Principle:
The operating principle is as follows: the hand wheel (9) turns clockwise simply by traction of the hand chain (15). This rotation causes friction disk (11)
and detente wheel (14) pressure on the braking system (10), which in turn causes rotation of all these components. The drive shaft (5) turns the disks
(8), the pinion shaft (7) and the notches (6).In this way the pinion of the load or hoisting chain (4), assembled on the notches, activates the load chain
for a stable and gradual lift of the load. Braking is ensured by a detente wheel fitted with single-acting friction disks. Braking is maintained during loading
and the dog clutch (17) engages in the detente wheel through a spring (16), which guarantees braking safety.
USES
The chain hoists can be attached to any type of lifting trolley, overhead crane or mobile crane. Before using, check carefully the hooks, lifting chain,
brake operation and lubrication of the shell. For safety in use, you must observe the following rules:
1.
Do not attempt to lift a load heavier than the capacity of the hoist.
2.
Do not let a suspended charge or in tension without monitoring
3.
Do not lift or lower the load too quickly.
4.
Be sure to place both the loading in the middle of the hook and the load vertically under the hoist.
5.
Do not twist the chain.
6.
Do not lift the load too high or too near the hoist shell.
7.
Do not circulate or park under the load.
8.
Avoid any excessive swing.
9.
Avoid all equipment impacts and falls.
10. Do not neutralize the pawls of security on hooks.
11. Welding on or near from the hook is prohibited. The chain can't be used as a mass when welding.
12. Do not use the chain hoist to transport anybody.
13. Do not use the chain stop to maintain the charge at the maximum level.
14. Never hang up the charge with the point hook.
INSTALLATION/MAITENANCE/INTERVENTION
Make sure that the fixing structure of tool is rigid enough
-
Replace any suspect elements or worn
-
Check the operation and adjustment of safety units before any use.
-
Let the chain clean and correctly lubricated
-
Check the tightening of the fasteners
-
Check that the chain is not bored and that it does not present any defect ( distortion, wear, crack or corrosion mark)
-
Check the installation of stop chain situated at the end of chain. It must be off-load.
-
Check that hanging and loading hooks are not deformed, deteriorated, used or with corrosion marks. Check the security pawls efficiency
-
on hooks.
After use, clean then lubricate the chain
-
Upkeep and repairs must be provided by qualified personnel.
-
-
After repair, carry out off-load tests and maximum on-load tests
TRANSPORT/STORAGE
Handle this tool by its structure or by the system engraved for it or in its original packing. Store this tool away from aggressive environment (dust,
moisture, heat...).
It should be protected against corrosion (lubrication).
MAXIMUM WEAR ALLOWANCES FOR CHAIN LINKS
Diagram FIG.1 (page 2)
Check the load chain as a whole. Make sure that a qualified technician regularly checks the entire load chain. Never lengthen a chain through welding.
