1 Safety notes

The bus coupler is to be used exclusively in bus systems according to
specifications AS-i.
W
This is a class A product. In a living environment this product can cause
radio interference, in which case it may be necessary for the user to take
appropriate measures.

Installation should only be done by trained specialists.

Only operate the bus coupler in a completely assembled state. Always
turn off the power when plugging and unplugging the plug connectors.
W
The power supply must be installed in such a way that no surge voltages
can occur on the output side.
W
The bus coupler has an integrated watchdog function, which resets the
outputs in the event of a bus communication failure.
2 Addressing the bus coupler
Connect the plug (10) to the programming device using an addressing cable.
Assign an address from 1 to 31 and document it on the label (8), (14).
The bus coupler address set at the factory is: 0
3 Connecting the bus cable
Connect the yellow profile cable (13) to the plug (10) via the AS-i cable socket
(12).

4 Connecting the load supply
Connect the black profile cable (15) to the load supply plug (11) using the
cable socket (16). Connect the power supply for the load supply (5) to the
black cable (see "Technical data" for specifications).
+24 V: brown, 0 V: blue.
LED (9) is lit: load supply voltage is on.
This way the valves are supplied separately from the bus coupler and can be
turned off in case of an emergency shut-down (4) while the bus coupler
remains functioning.
5 Triggering the valves
The valves are triggered by the bus coupler's (3) 4 outputs according to the
following allocation scheme.
