How to use VENOSAN
• Wear the liner day and night. The particularly smooth, white material in the foot part
of the liner is a donning aid that makes it easier for you to put the overstocking on.
• Put the overstocking on in the morning as soon as you get up, and take it off again in the
evening when you go to bed.
How to put on both stockings
See illustrations on the fold-out flap.
1
Pull the liner up over your foot like a normal stocking.
2
Then pull the liner carefully up your leg. Make sure that the wound dressing
does not slip.
3
Pull the overstocking over the liner over your foot like a normal stocking.
4
Check that it fits properly at the heel. Correct this if necessary.
5
Now massage the overstocking evenly upwards. The stocking should end about two
fingers' breadth below your knee. Smooth out any possible wrinkles so the stocking
system fits as well as possible for the optimum effect.
6
The cuffs of the inner and overstockings should not lie directly over each other.
Handling
• Please make sure that there are no sharp or pointed edges in your shoes. These could damage
the dual stocking system.
• Sharp or torn fingernails, rough skin, sharp-edged rings, bracelets, watches, etc. can damage
the sheer knit of your VENOSAN

• If loops or loose threads develop please do not cut them off, otherwise holes or laddering
could occur.
• The stockings are resistant to skin moisture, skin care creams, skin oils and other environmen-
tal influences. However, several of these influences together can impair the useful life.
• If used and cared for properly you can wear the stockings for about six months.
Care
• Daily washing by hand or in the washing machine with the delicates programme using a com-
mercially available detergent for delicates and a washing machine bag prolongs the useful life
of the stockings.
• The liner can be washed at temperatures up to 60°C, the overstocking up to 40°C.
• Please never use fabric softeners!
• Rinse the stockings well in clear water after washing.
• Do not wring out the stockings or dry them in a tumble drier! Press the water out between two
dry towels and leave the stockings to dry in the air.
• Direct heat (e.g. radiators, direct sunlight, etc) damages the stockings, as does ironing or
cleaning with benzene or chemicals.
Storage
• Store the stockings at room temperature and protected against moisture and direct sunlight.
