ZEP716 Self-Powered 16-Zone Expansion Module
The ZEP716 expansion module allows the installation of additional 16 zones to the FORCE Series intruder alarm systems. The module
includes the ZEX516 expansion module and a 13.8V to 4.2A power supply. It is assembled in a metal case, that is designed to carry a
lead-acid backup battery (not supplied), and has a hinged cover.
The ZEP716 includes the PS-2 that serves as a battery charger, that can indicate on AC loss and low battery states.
Warning
 Do not use the ZEP716 near water.
 Do not operate or touch the module with wet hands.
 Do not open the case when it is connected to AC power.
 Use a grounded 3-wire power cord. Connection to AC power must be done by a qualified electrician.
 This module is intended for indoor use only.
 Do not operate or place this module in a humid or dusty location.
 Do not operate this unit in direct sunlight or near any heat source.

How to mount and install the ZEP716
Mount the ZEP716 on a flat surface. Follow the next steps.
1. Open the door, lift and remove it.
2. Use the holes on the back side of the box or break the side knock outs and pass the zones and
bus wires.
3. Mount the case on a flat surface, using the keyholes.
4. Set the ZEX516's ID no. DIP switch; see the settings above.
5. Connect the wiring.
6. Connect to mains.
7. Close the box's door.
