5 Switch Between HD Analog Video
Formats
This camera includes a UTC controller used to switch between multi-
ple HD analog video formats. Note that the C346ZC252 PTZ camera
is defaulted to MPX / CVI video output. For a full list of supported for-
mats, see http://www.flir.com/security/MPXcomp.
WARNING
By default, FLIR MPX DVRs and MPX cameras are set to CVI vid-
eo format. Use the UTC controller only when connecting to a non
MPX / CVI recorder or a recorder that is not defaulted to MPX / CVI
video format. Check you recorder's manual for details.
CAUTION
When using this camera to connect with non FLIR branded MPX /
CVI recorders, ensure the non MPX / CVI recorders follow the offi-
cial HD analog protocol standards for CVI / AHD / TVI. If the re-
corder does not follow the official HD analog protocol standards,
we cannot guarantee interoperability between the camera
and the HD analog recorder.

5.1 Installing Batteries

The UTC controller requires two AAA alkaline batteries for power.
