Contents:
Sensor housing (A); Spray head (B); Stand (H); Hose connection and end stop (I)
Assembly:
1. Open the battery cover (G) and insert 2 penlite AA batteries (not supplied).
2. Screw the spray head (B) with the rubber seal into the top of the sensor housing.
3. Screw the stand (H)with a seal into the bottom of the sensor housing.
Ensure that the rubber rings are properly seated to prevent any leaks and tighten the assembly by hand.
Before connecting the hose and installing the GardenSniper, you should first of all test it. You can set the sensitivity of the sensor using a knob (F). Set this
to the end of the scale and move your hand in front of the sensor (E). You will hear a distinct click to show that the internal water valve is opening. After
5 seconds you will hear another click as the water valve closes. Once the internal water valve has closed, the sensor does not detect any movement for 6
seconds. If you do not hear a click, insert new batteries, but first of all set the sensor adjusting knob to 0. If there is still a problem, contact your dealer.
4. Connect the garden hose (I) and make sure that the end cap is properly fitted.
5. Decide where you want to install the GardenSniper and point the sensor towards the area that you want to protect. Push the point of the stand (H) into
the ground. When doing this, hold only the stand; never press down on the sensor or the spray head.
6. You can now set the range of the sensor (E). Set the range so that it detects movement only in the area that you want to protect.
7. Finally set the range of the spray head. To do this open the water valve. (There should be normal water pressure in the equipment; too high a pressure
can damage the equipment.) You can set the height of the water jet using the knob (C) on top of the spray head. You can set the width of the water jet
using the stoppers (D) underneath the spray head.
Trouble-shooting
If your GardenSniper does not function properly:
• Check the batteries (note: set the sensor sensitivity adjusting knob to 0) and replace them if necessary.
• Reset the sensor sensitivity and check that the sensor is working. This is working properly if you hear a click, the internal water valve opens, after 5
seconds you hear another click and the water tap closes. If you do not hear a click, the sensor and the water valve are not working properly.
• Check the water pressure and the water supply.
• Check that the spray head and/or the stand are not blocked by dirt or limescale deposits. Remove any dirt by flushing it out with water.
If the GardenSniper still does not work, contact your dealer.
