For example: Sunrise 30 min, Sunset 30 minutes = combined time 60 minutes
Current time 1500, Alarm Time 1545. In this case the alarm cannot be activated.
Setting the Alarm Sound
Press the MENU button repeatedly until the display shows ALARM SOUND, the current alarm sound will
also be displayed. Press < or > buttons to adjust the alarm sound.
The options are:
OFF - no sound will be heard at the alarm time.
BEEP - a beep sound will be heard at the alarm time.
MP3 PLAYER - the MP3 Player will be heard at the alarm time, the MP3 will start playing from the previous
track played unless the player is in repeat mode, then it will play the same track over and over.
When OFF is selected and the alarm is set, the unit will only perform a sunrise (fade up of the lamp). When
set to BEEP or MP3 and the alarm is set, the unit will perform a sunrise and the sounder will beep, or MP3
player will start playing when the alarm time is reached. After a while some users will be able to wake up
with the sunrise only and they might wish to switch the alarm sound to off.
NOTE: If selecting BEEP or MP3 PLAYER, you must ensure the volume is set to a suitable level otherwise
the sound may not be heard at the alarm time. Press Menu to continue.

Setting the Sunrise Time
Press the Menu button repeatedly until the display shows SUNRISE, the current Sunrise time will be
displayed.The Sunrise time is the length of time it will take for the lamp to fade up from OFF to maximum
brightness.The maximum brightness of the lamp will coincide with the Alarm time.Therefore, if the Sunrise
time is set to 15 minutes and the Alarm time is set for 07:00 the lamp will start Fading Up at 06:45. The
lamp will get to full brightness after 15 minutes. When the alarm sound is set to Beep or MP3, the sound
will start when the lamp is at maximum (07:00 in the example above).The Sunrise time can be set to
various times:- 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes by pressing < or > buttons. Press Menu to continue.
Setting the Sunset Time
Press the Menu button repeatedly until the display shows SUNSET, the current Sunset time will be
displayed.The Sunset time is the length of time it will take to fade the lamp down from maximum bright-
ness to fully off. Sunset is initiated when the Alarm is activated and the lamp is on. If the lamp is already off
then the Sunset won't occur. The Sunset time can be set to various times:- 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes
by pressing < or > buttons.

Setting the LCD Backlight
Press the MENU button repeatedly until the display shows BACKLIGHT, the current backlight setting will
also be displayed.You can now adjust the backlight by using the < or > buttons.
The options are:
OFF - the LCD Backlight and Snooze button will not illuminate.
DIM - the LCD Backlight and Snooze button will illuminate dimly.
BRIGHT - the LCD Backlight and Snooze button will illuminate at full brightness.
AUTOMATIC 1 - the LCD Backlight and Snooze button will illuminate at full brightness for 5 seconds at
any button press, after this time the LCD Backlight and Snooze button will go off.
AUTOMATIC 2 - the LCD Backlight and Snooze button will illuminate at full brightness for 5 seconds at
any button press, after this time the LCD Backlight and Snooze button will illuminate dimly.
Press Menu to continue.This means that you have selected the displayed option.
Setting the Calendar
When setting the CALENDER pressing the EQ button will change the date display format.
There are 3 possible date display formats to choose from these are for example:
31 DECEMBER 06
(DD MMM YY)
31/12/2006
(DD/MM/YYYY)
12/31/2006
(MM/DD/YYYY)
Setting the Calendar year
Press the MENU button repeatedly until the display shows CALENDER Year, the current setting is displayed
and you can now change the year by using the < or > buttons.
Press Menu to continue.
Setting the Calendar month
Press the MENU button repeatedly until the display shows CALENDER Month, the current setting is
displayed and you can now change the month by using the < or > buttons.
Press Menu to continue.
Setting the Calendar date
Press the MENU button repeatedly until the display shows CALENDER Date, the current setting is
displayed and you can now change the date by using the < or > buttons.. Press Menu to continue.
