vere eye damage.
Always wear safety
glasses or eye shields while operating
the snow thrower.

glasses or a wide vision safety mask for
over your glasses.

TO STOP YOUR
SNOW THROWER
1. To stop throwing snow, release the
auger drive lever.
See Figure 2.
NOTE: If the snow thrower contin-
ues to slowly move forward, see
"How To Adjust The Auger Control
Cable" in the Service And Adjust-
ment Section.
2. To stop the engine, move the igni-
tion key to the off position.

1. Turn the chute control rod to set the
direction of the snow throwing.
2. Loosen the wing knob on the chute
deflector and move the deflector to
set the distance. Move the deflector
(Up) for more distance, (Down) for
less distance. Then tighten the
wing knob (See Figure 3).

HOW TO MOVE FORWARD

Hold the auger drive lever against
the handle (See Figure 4). The au-
ger will begin rotating.
To go forward, raise the handle to
allow the rubber auger blades to
contact the ground. Maintain a firm
hold on the handle as the snow
thrower starts to move forward.
Guide the snow thrower by moving
the handle either left or right. Do
not attempt to push the snow throw-
er.
3. To stop, release the auger drive le-
ver.
