NOTE! Structural clay tiles are not allowed.
1.2 Overview of the control panel
The control panel can be fitted either into the sauna/steam room or outside it. If the control panel is fitted in the sauna room,
the maximum height for its upper edge is 900mm from the floor. The minimum distance between the control panel and the
heater is 300mm.
The main switch for the sauna heater is located at the foot of the sauna heater or in the contactor case. (For more specific
instructions, see the user manual for the contactor case.) The steam generator main switch is located on the bottom edge at
the end.
In private use, the maximum usage time for the heater is 6 hours. In institutions and in monitored use it is 10–24 hours.
Temperature adjustment 20–110°C.
Preset time 1–10 hours. Requires a door switch, Helo product number 0043233, SSTL 8260371.
Instructions for the door switch installation are included in the user and installation instructions for the heater or the contactor
case.
1.3 Installing the control panel
Wall installation should be carried out using the console or
the double-sided tape included in the delivery. If using the console, the control
panel
should be attached to the console using the tape. In order to install the control
panel directly
on the wall a 30-millimetre through-hole is required.
Installation using the console
Use the console to mark the places for the screws on the wall.
Tighten the screws enough for the console to be securely fixed but still
detachable. Take the console off the wall. Use the tape to attach the
control panel to the console. Make sure to place the console according
to the picture (the tab should be on the left when viewed from below).
Attach the console as low in the control panel as possible. Place the panel
on the wall. Use the wire delivered with the control panel to connect the
control panel to the sauna unit. If the control panel wire is too long you can
cut it to a suitable length and connect to the adapter circuit board with
screw terminals.
Installation without the console
Attach the double-sided tape to the control panel. Prior to attaching the panel
to the wall, the control panel must be connected to the device and all functions
must be tested.
Then you can peel off the paper shielding the tape. You can apply silicone into the groove on the back of the control panel
as an extra measure against water. Connect the wire to the control panel, push the contact through the hole in the wall and
press the control panel against the wall.
