This product will accept Craftsman
battery packs and Craftsman 19.2 V nickel-cadmium bat-
tery packs.
For complete charging instructions, refer to the Operator's
Manual for the battery packs and chargers listed in the
General Safety Rules.
BATTERY PROTECTION FEATURES
Craftsman
19.2 V lithium-ion battery packs are designed
®
with features that protect the lithium-ion cells and
maximize battery life.
If the tool stops during use, recharge the battery pack.
TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK
See Figure 2, page i.
Place the battery pack on the radio.
Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack
snap into place and the battery pack is secured on the
radio before beginning operation.
WARNING:
Always remove battery pack from your
tool when you are assembling parts, making adjust-
ments, cleaning, or when not in use. Removing bat-
tery pack will prevent accidental starting that could
cause serious personal injury.

TO REMOVE BATTERY PACK
See Figure 2, page i.
Place the power switch in the OFF ( O ) position.
Locate latches on side of battery pack and depress
both sides to release battery pack.
Remove battery pack from the radio.
TURNING THE RADIO ON/OFF
See Figure 3, page i.
To turn ON: turn
the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob clockwise.
To turn OFF: turn the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob counter-
clockwise to the OFF
position.
RADIO MODES
See Figure 3, page i.
There are four mode settings on the radio: FM, AM, AUX,
and the Weather Band setting. To select any of these
settings, turn the radio ON and push the MODE button to
the desired setting.
CONTROLLING VOLUME

Use the volume level indicator located on the
ON/OFF/VOLUME knob to find

DIGITAL DISPLAY

The digital display on the front of the radio illuminates
when the
radio is switched ON, displaying the radio mode
and frequency/channel setting. If the battery charge is low,
a flashing low
battery indicator will also be displayed.
NOTE: Charge battery when low battery indicator begins
to flash.
If the radio continues to operate with the low
battery indicator flashing, the radio will drain the battery
until the radio will no longer emit sound and the backlight
and the LCD display will also flash. To avoid deep
discharge, remove the battery pack from the radio and
charge immediately.
