Operation
Battery Replacement
1. Loosen the one Phillips screw.
2. Remove the battery cover.
3. Replace the 9V battery.
4. Install the battery cover and
tighten the screw.
WARNINGS:
Do not operate the tester until the battery door is
securely fastened to the tester.
Fuse Replacement
The fuse will blow if the tester is connected to a live circuit. Replacing the fuse
will usually restore the tester if the voltage did not exceed 120 volts.
Higher voltage will cause permanent damage. Do not use the tester if there are
any signs of damage. Follow the steps below to replace the fuse.
1. Remove battery. (Follow instructions in the manual for Battery Replacement.)
2. Loosen the 4 Phillips screws on back cover.
3. Carefully remove cover while feeding the battery clip through the slot inside
the battery compartment.
4. Gently remove fuse and install new fuse into the holder.
5. Always use a fuse of the proper size and value: 100mA /250V fast blow
(5 x 20mm). Do not substitute.
6. Install the back cover and battery
cover and tighten the screws.
WARNINGS:
Do not operate the tester until the back cover and
battery cover are installed and securely fastened.
