1. GENERAL SAFETY RULES

The main directives mentioned in the manual must be complied with during the installation, maintenance and operation.
Therefore it is of vital importance that this manual be read before the installation and commissioning of the system by the qualified personnel tasked
with the assembly and by the system manager.
The manual must always be available at the place where the machine is used.
Dangers deriving from non-compliance with safety regulations.
Failure to follow the safety regulations can cause serious damage to people, the environment and the machines and can invalidate any claim for
damages.
The most frequent dangers deriving from the non-compliance with safety standards are:
- Damage to important functions of the electric pump or of the system itself.
- Dispersal in the environment of hazardous materials.
- Lack of maintenance.
- Damage to people due to mechanical parts, electrical or chemical effects.
Works in compliance with safety standards.
For your own and other people's safety, the safety instructions set out in this manual, the national prescriptions for accident prevention, the com-
pany's internal prescriptions regarding operation, safety and work must be applied.
Modifications and construction of spare parts.
Modifying or changing the electric pump is only possible with the manufacturer's prior consent; repairs must be carried out using only original
spare parts essential for safety.
Should other spare parts be used, no liability for the resulting consequences is accepted.
Maintenance, inspection, assembly.
The system manager must ensure that all maintenance, installation and inspection work is performed by authorized and qualified personnel.
Before carrying out work on the electric pump, make sure it is switched off and disconnected from the power supply.
Electric pumps that are used for conveying liquids that are harmful to health must be decontaminated before being repaired.
At the end of maintenance, inspection or assembly, immediately activate the safety and protection devices.
Before commissioning, follow the instructions given in chapters 7 and 8 "Installation" and "Electrical connection".
