Your belt sander has been designed for sanding
wood, wood products, metal and paintwork.

Installing the machine
The machine must be placed on a solid
underground.
Mount the base plate.
■
Fit a sanding belt.
■
Mount the fence.
■
Mount the guard for the sanding belt.
■
Mount a sanding disc.
■
Mount the sanding wheel cover.
■
Mount the table.
■
If required, mount the mitre fence.
■
Mounting the base plate (fig. B)
Place the machine upside down.
■
Mount the base plate (6) to the machine by
■
tightening the bolts (7).
Place the machine back into its normal
■
position.
Fitting a sanding belt (fig. C)
Pull the handle (8) against the spring tension
■
as far as possible.
Take a sanding belt (9) of the required grain
■
size and place it over both of the rollers (10).
Place the sanding belt so that the arrow on
the inside of the belt points in the same
direction as indicated on the arm.
Push the handle completely back.
■
Switch on the machine and allow the sanding
■
belt to rotate. Turn the sanding belt centring
knob (11) until the sanding belt keeps running
straight.
Mounting and setting the fence (fig. D)
Remove the bolt (12) and the washer (13).
■
Mount the fence (14) to the sanding belt.
■
The slotted hole (15) should correspond with
the mounting hole (16) for the removed bolt.
Replace the washer and the bolt.
■
Hold the fence at right angles above the
■
sanding belt.
Firmly tighten the bolt. Make sure that the
■
fence is just out of reach from the sanding belt.
Mounting the guard for the sanding belt (fig. D)
Mount the guard (17) by tightening the screws
■
(18).
Mounting a sanding disc (fig. E)
Clean and degrease the mounting face of the
■
sanding wheel (3).
Mount the sanding disc (19) properly centred
■
to the sanding wheel.
Press the sanding disc both evenly and firmly.

Mounting the sanding wheel cover (fig. E)
Loosen the screws (20).
■
Place the cover (21) onto the guard (22).
■
Make sure that the holes (23) in the cover are
aligned with the holes (24) in the guard.
Tighten the screws.
■
Mounting the table (fig. F & G)
The table (4) can be used for both the sanding
belt arm and the sanding wheel.
To mount the table for the sanding wheel (3),
proceed as follows (fig. F):
Loosen the bolt (25) on the back of the
■
machine.
Insert the mounting bar (26) into the opening
■
(27) on the side of the machine with the flat
side (28) facing the bolt.
Adjust the distance between the table and the
■
sanding disc to the smallest possible value,
with a maximum of 2 mm.
Tighten the bolt (25).
■
To mount the table for the sanding belt arm (2),
proceed as follows (fig. G):
Place the sanding belt arm to the vertical
■
position as described below.
Loosen the bolt (29) on the side of the
■
machine.
Insert the mounting bar (30) into the opening
■
(31) on the front of the machine with the flat
side facing the bolt (29).
Adjust the distance between the table and the
■
sanding disc to the smallest possible value,
with a maximum of 2 mm.
Tighten the bolt (29).

Adjusting the table angle (fig. H)
The max. table angle is 45° .
Loosen the lock screw (32).

Set the desired table angle using the scale
■
(33) on the protractor.
Tighten the lock screw.
