5.3.2 Installation with adapter

The adapters included in the scope of delivery allow installation on radia-
tor valves of the following types: Danfoss RA, Danfoss RAV, and Danfoss
RAVL. If necessary, use one of the adapters or the support ring. The follow-
ing figures show the allocation of adapters to their corresponding valves:
The adapters RA and RAV are pre-tensioned. For installation purposes
they can be slightly bent open with a screwdriver.
CAUTION
Danger of crushing!
There is a crushing hazard during the installation of adapters.
¾ Do not hold your fingers between the adapter halves or between
adapter and valve.
1. During the installation, take care that the tabs inside the adapter (2)
correspond to the notches at the valve (1).
1. Latch on the adapter completely.
1. Fix the adapter with the supplied screw and nut.
For RAV type valves, the plunger extension (3) must be attached to the
valve pin prior to installation.
The adapter RAVL does not need to be screwed.
