Description
The IS-10/IS-6 pressure switches are used for
regulating, monitoring and alarm systems in the
industry. They provide automatic limit protection for
pressure systems. They can be used with steam, air,
gaseous and liquid media. The pressure switches are
fitted with single-pole changeover switch (SPDT). The
position of the switch depends on the setting of the
pressure
Mounting
The pressure switch has three mounting options:
It can be directly secured at the pressure line
Ÿ
connection.
Secured to a surface using the mounting holes on
Ÿ
the rear side.
Using the inlcuded L mounting plate.
Ÿ

Electrical connection

The pressure control switches are fitted with single-
pole changeover switch (SPDT). They can control
pumps, valves or compressors directly or using a
contactor. The contacts have a current rating that
shouldn't be exceeded to prevent damaging the
switch.
Contact Ratings:
15 A @ 120 VAC /8 A @220 VAC with a resistive load.
Single phase pumps of up to 1HP @ 120/220VAC.
50/60 Hz. Contact states if setpoint is on increasing
pressure:
1. The pressure is less than the start pressure (Diff.)

2. The pressure is more than the stop pressure:

We recommend the pressure switch is connected to
ground to reduce the risk of an electrical shock. Use
the connection terminal at the bottom side of the
pressure switch indicated by the following simbol:
switch and the pressure in the connector. They can
control directly single phase pumps or compressors
as long as it doesn't exceed its capacity (please see the
Specifications section). If the capacity is exceeded or
the motor has three phases, use a contactor of the
adequate capacity. For more information, please refer
to the electrical wiring example.
Remove cover held in place by the top front screws
pointed in the diagram.
Wire directly to terminal blocks as required. Terminals
are marked as shown below:
