II. Operation
• Connect your flash unit using appropriate cables with the multi-function sockets of the DÖRR HC4500 power pack.
• Turn on the power pack by pressing the On/Off button. T he LED battery level indicator displays the battery level.
Turn off the power pack by pressing the On/Off button. T he DÖRR power pack automatically shuts off after 12 hours.
Note: The flash unit must be also equipped with batteries or rechargeable batteries, as they take over the supply of the other functions of the
flash unit (display, zoom head, etc.).
• If no flash unit is connected with the power pack, battery level indicator will light for 3 seconds.
• Turn off the power pack by pressing the On/Off button anew.
• The power pack also turns off when the cable is disconnected.
• 2 flash units can be operated simultaneously with one battery.
III. Status-LED
• Each socket has a status indicator. T he status LED lights when flash unit is connected and battery is ready for use. After the flash unit
was triggered this LED goes out for about one second. When LED relights, the flash unit is ready for use again.
• At extremely high temperatures inside the power pack, the overheating protection prevents the further use. After about 10 minutes
you can use the power pack again. During this time the status LED blinks.
IV. Connect/disconnect battery
• To disconnect the battery from the main unit, press the release button
and slide the battery pack in the direction of arrow shown on rear side.
• To connect the battery with the main unit, insert the 4 hooks of battery
into the slots of power pack. Slide the battery against direction of arrow
until battery snaps into place.
V. Battery Charging
The LED indicators for the battery charging status will indicate when the battery needs to be recharged:

Tip: T o charge the battery, the battery must not be connected with the power pack. If you have 2 batteries you can charge one battery,
while using the other battery.

• To charge the battery, connect the battery with the battery charger to the
power supply (100-240V).
• Red LED light shows charging modus. When battery is fully charged,
the LED lights green.
