4. Obtain IP information for your computer (IP Address).
Windows XP, 2000, and NT users:
Click Start and then click Run.
Type cmd and press ENTER.
Type ipconfig and press ENTER.
Windows Me, 98, and 95 users:
Click Start and then click Run.
Enter winipcfg and press ENTER.
In the pull-down menu, select the wireless network con-
nection.
5. If Step 4. does not display information for the ethernet adapter
wireless network connection IP address your computer is not
communicating with the USB adapter. Repeat the installation
procedure.
If Step 4. returns an ethernet adapter wireless network con-
nection IP address of 0.0.0.0 your computer is communicating
with the USB adapter but the USB adapter has not acquired an
IP address from the router. Make sure that you have selected
the correct wireless router or access point. Make sure the
security settings on the USB adapter match the security set-
tings of the wireless access point or wireless router.
