General Information

1.1 UNPACKING

• Remove all packaging material.
• Remove separate accessory box.
• Remove the generator from carton.

1.1.1 ACCESSORY BOX

Check all contents. If any parts are missing or damaged, locate an
authorized dealer at 1-885-GEN-INFO.

• 1-Bottle of Oil SAE 30
• 3-Product Registration Cards
• 2-Wheels
• 1-Axle
• 1-Axle Bracket
• 2-Washers
• 2-Handles
• 2-Rubber Grips
• 2-Snap Buttons
• 1-12V Adaptor Plug Charger (electric start models only)

1.2 ASSEMBLY

The generator requires some assembly prior to using it. If problems
arise when assembling the generator, please call the Generator
Helpline at 1-885-GEN-INFO.

1.2.1 ASSEMBLING THE ACCESSORY KIT

The wheels are designed to greatly improve the portability of the
generator You will need the following tools to properly install the
accessory kit:
• Ratchet and a 13mm (1/2") socket
• 13mm (1/2") box wrench
Refer to Figure 1 and the instructions below to install the wheels,
feet, and handles.
Some wheel kit components may already be pre-assembled
from the factory.
Handle
1. Slide the rubber grip onto the handle.
2. Insert the snap button into the second hole of the handle.
3. Use the hex flanged bolt & acorn nut to secure the handle
assembly to the handle bracket.
4. Install the entire handle assembly to the frame by using the
curved head bolts and acorn nuts.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 for the opposite handle.
Feet
6. Use the long hex head bolt and a hex nut to install the rubber
foot to the foot bracket.
7. Install the foot assembly to the frame using the short hex head
bolts and hex nuts.
8. Repeat steps 5 & 6 for the other foot.

NOTE:
Wheels
9. Use the four short hex head bolts and four hex nuts to secure
the axle assembly to the frame.
10. Slide on a wheel and then the flat washer. Secure the wheel in
place with a hair pin.
11. Repeat steps 9 and 10 for the other wheel.

1.2.2 BATTERY CABLE CONNECTION (ELECTRIC START
ONLY)
The unit has been deliberately shipped with the battery cables
disconnected.
To connect the battery (see Figure 13 for connection details):
1. Cut off cable ties securing battery cables.
2. First, connect the red cable to the positive (+) battery terminal
with the supplied bolt.
3. Connect the black cable to the negative (-) battery terminal
with the supplied bolt.
4. Make sure all connections are secure. Slide the rubber boots
over the terminals and connection hardware.
If the battery is unable to start the engine, charge it with the
12V charger included in the accessory box (see the "Charging a
Battery" section for details).
