Callouts
1. POWER Inlet - Power inlet for connecting the optional 9V DC power adapter (center negative).
2. IN (Input) Jack - Standard 1/4" input jack for connecting a passive or active bass.
Note: The INPUT jacks also functions as the power switch. Unplugging the cable from the INPUT will turn off the power to the
Bass Attack 2. If you are using batteries, leaving the instrument cable connected to the INPUT jack will drain the batteries. It is
recommended to remove the input cable when the pedal is not in use.
3. PARALLEL OUT - 1/4" output for passing the signal directly from the IN jack (unaffected) to a stage amplifier or monitor system.
4. ON/OFF - Footswitch used to turn on the effect on or off. The first stage of the Bass Attack 2 is the active EQ section, if no other
stages of the pedal are on, only the EQ section will engage.
5. ON/OFF LED - This LED illuminates green when the pedal functions are engaged.
6. CONTOUR IN/OUT - This switch activates a fixed mid-scooped EQ curve.
7. TREBLE - Control knob used to adjust the high frequencies of the Bass Attack 2. This shelf EQ knob provides 18dB of boost or cut
at 20kHz. At the center, 12 o'clock, position, the high frequency EQ is flat.
8. BASS - Control knob used to adjust the low frequencies of the Bass Attack 2. This shelf EQ knob provides 18dB of boost or cut at
30Hz. At the center, 12 o'clock, position, the bass frequency EQ is flat.
9. LEVEL - Used to adjust the overall output volume of the Bass Attack 2 at the 1/4" OUT jack and at the DIRECT OUT XLR jack when
the IN/OUT switch is in the OUT position.
10. SHAPE Switch - Footswitch used to engage the Shape circuit.
11. Shape LED - This LED illuminates orange when the Shape function is engaged.
12. FREQ - Used to adjust the famous Hartke Shape circuit with a preset EQ curve that can be swept through a wide frequency range.
Moving the Shape control clockwise causes the notch filter to be applied to higher frequencies while moving it counterclockwise
causes it to be applied to lower frequencies. At the fully clockwise position, the filter is applied to the 800Hz frequency area; at the
fully counterclockwise position, the filter is applied to the 200Hz frequency area.
