7. CONNECTION TO THE MAINS
1. Ensure that mains voltage and frequency are the same as those stated on the rating plate (A) attached to the appliance.
2. Ensure that the supply socket has the following characteristics: a) it is properly earthed. b) It fulfils the requirements of the
rated current as set out on the rating plate. c) It complies with the IEC regulations: - magnetothermal differential switch (also
known as ground fault interrupter) with In = nominal value as stated on the rating plate; - Differential with Id sensitivity = 30
mA. 3. Ensure that there is no danger of explosion (AD) in the room. 4. The connecting cable to the appliance is H05 VVF,
designed for internal use. For installation in any other environments, it will be necessary to change the cable with the
appropriate type (for example H07 VVF for external use). 5. Connect the plug (do not use three-way adapters and reduction
adapters). N.B. If during transport or storage the appliance has been placed by mistake in a horizontal position or has been
turned upside down, leave for at least three hours in the correct position before switching on the power supply (see figure 5).
8. CONTROLS
The appliance features adjusting controls, located at the front of the cabinet. 1. Light switch: to switch on the light inside the
display cabinet. 2. Refrigeration switch: to switch on the refrigeration system. 3. Thermometer: to display the temperature
in the appliance. Thermostat: to adjust the temperature in the appliance. a) Press button 5 "SET or P" once to display the
temperature set-point, which can be changed by pressing button 6 "UP" or button 7 "DOWN". PRISMA 800 TNV/PG-PF
models: 1. Rotation switch: to set the rotating shelves into motion. 2. Light switch: to switch on the light inside the display
cabinet. 3. Refrigeration switch: to switch on the refrigeration system (see figure 6).
9. CHECKING CORRECT OPERATION
Check that: 1. The plug is connected. 2. The refrigeration unit switch is switched on (green light on). 3. The thermometer
shows the desired temperature for the goods to be stored. 4. The appliance is not exposed to direct sunlight or to high-powered
lamps. 5. The room temperature does not exceed that in which the appliance is designed to work normally, i.e. +25°C, 60%
r.h. (climatic class 3). 6. There are no draughts coming from doors, windows, fans or conditioner outlets directed towards the
appliance. N.B.: the appliance must be correctly filled, without overloading the shelves and with sufficient space for correct
cold air circulation.
10. CLEANING THE CONDENSER
(SKILLED PERSONNEL ONLY)
1. Switch off the appliance by turning off the power switch and pulling the plug out of the socket. 2. Undo the screws
attaching the front grille and then remove it. 3. Remove the dust from the condenser's fins using a paintbrush. 4. Use a
vacuum cleaner to remove any remaining dust. 5. Refit the grille and switch on the electricity supply (see figure 7).
11. INTERNAL CLEANING
(EVERY 15 DAYS)
PRISMA 800 TBS/PF models: 1. Switch off the appliance, as described in Chapter 10. 2. Remove the goods, placing them in
a suitably refrigerated place. 3. Leave the door open and completely defrost the appliance. 4. Remove the plug from the inside
of the display cabinet. 5. Do not use sharp or pointed metal tools to remove the ice from the evaporator. 6. Dry with care.
7. Leave the appliance to dry with the door open before restarting. PRISMA 800 TNV/PF models: 1. Switch off the
appliance, as described in Chapter 10. 2. Open the door and remove the refrigerated goods. 3. Wipe the sides and accessories
with a sponge dipped in water with a little sodium bicarbonate. Dry with care (see figure 8).
12. REPLACING THE INTERNAL LIGHTS
1. Switch off the appliance, as described in Chapter 10. 2. Undo the screws which hold the top lamp socket in place. 3. Detach
the fluorescent tube with its protective cover from the top lamp socket. 4. Take the tube out of the bottom lamp socket.
5. Remove the protective cover. 6. Replace the fluorescent tube. 7. Reassemble by following the above instructions in reverse
order (see figure 9).
13. REPLACING THE DOOR'S MAGNETIC GASKET
1. Open the door. 2. Take hold of the magnetic gasket and pull it out of the frame. 3. Insert the new gasket and press it firmly
down all around (see figure 10).
14. ADJUSTING THE DOOR
The door can be adjusted if the space between the frame and the door is not even on both vertical sides. 1. Open the door.
2. Loosen the two screws on the frame side of the door hinge. 3. Slide the hinge against the frame. 4. Tighten the screws once
the clearance between door and frame is even (see figure 11).
15. REPLACING A GLASS PANEL
1. Switch off the appliance, as described in Chapter 10. 2. Unscrew the screws attaching the door hinges to the frame and
remove the door. 3. Remove the plastic plugs at the corners of the roof. 4. Undo the screws fixing the roof to the aluminium
uprights. 5. WARNING! The shelf supports and lamps are inserted in channels on bottom side of the roof. 6. Push the roof
upwards to detach it from the uprights. 7. Remove the glass panel, sliding upwards. 8. Replace with new glass panel
(See figure 12).
