Remote Control
Important: Point the remote control at the remote sensor when
operating it. If the remote sensor is exposed to direct sunlight, strong
artificial light (like from an interverter-type fluorescent lamp), or
infrared light, the unit or remote control may not function properly.
•
Play/Pause: Press this button to start/resume or to pause
playback.
•
Stop: Press this button to stop playback.
•
Prog: Press this button to enter Programming mode, which lets
you select tracks that will play in a specific order. See

Display: Press this button to cycle through information shown on
the display. You can view track name and time elapsed/remaining,
folder name, or total number of folders and songs.
•
ID3: Press this button to view ID3 tag information of the currently
playing track on the display.
•
Number Buttons (0–9): Press these buttons to enter their
corresponding numbers. While playing media and not viewing an
additional menu or screen, entering a number or numbers will
select that audio track.
•
Folder Back/Forward: Use these buttons to navigate folders.
•
Rev/Skip/Cue: Briefly press these buttons to skip to the previous or next track. Press and
hold these buttons to rewind or fast-forward.

Repeat: Press this button to cycle through the Repeat modes. See

Find: In USB and SD Card modes, press this button once to search by file name. Press a
second time to search by album. Use the Skip buttons to change selections.
•
A-B: Use this button to loop a section of audio during playback. See

Funct: Press this button to cycle through CD, USB, and SD Card modes.
•
Eject: Press this to eject the CD in the CD slot.
•
Mute: Press this button to mute DN-500DC's audio.
•
Remain: Press this button to toggle between track time elapsed, track time remaining, and
total CD time remaining on the display. This function is only available when playing an
audio CD.
•
Play 1: Press this button to set the player to stop after playing a single track.
•
Media 1/Media 2: Press this button to switch between controlling Media 1 and Media 2
using the Remote. The corresponding indicator on the unit will be lit green to show which
side is being controlled.
