NS-P3114 Portable CD Player
Turning your player on and off
Your player does not have a power button.
To turn your player on and off:
1 Press the PLAY/PAUSE/POWER button to turn on your player and start
playback.
2 If you are playing a CD or memory card, press the STOP/POWER OFF
button once to put your player in standby mode. If you are playing a CD
or memory card and put your player in standby mode or open the CD
door for more than 30 seconds, your player automatically turns off.
3 If you are playing a CD or memory card and playback is stopped or if you
are listening to the radio, press the STOP/POWER OFF button to turn off
your player.
Using the Hold switch
You can lock your player controls so that you do not accidentally change
settings.
To lock and unlock your player's controls:
• Slide the HOLD switch to the right to lock the controls.
• Slide the HOLD switch to the left to unlock the controls.
Using the anti-shock feature
When you play a CD, the anti-shock feature reduces or eliminates skipping
when you move your player. You can turn the anti-shock feature on and off
when playing audio CDs. When you play MP3 or WMA CDs, the anti-shock
feature is always on.
To turn the anti-shock feature on or off:
• Press and hold the ESP/PRESET+/ALBUM+ button for about one
second to turn on the anti-shock feature. When the anti-shock feature is
turned on, ESP appears on the LCD.
• Press and hold the button again to turn off the anti-shock feature.
Caution: If your player experiences excessive and continuous shock, the
memory buffer overloads and music skips.
Notes:
• When the anti-shock feature is turned on, the battery charge is used
faster because the CD rotates faster.
• If the CD is dirty, scratched, or warped, it may skip even though the
anti-shock feature is turned on.
