TRANSCODER

EN
The transcoding function is a sub-function of the Repeater. Thus, Repeating must enabled to do
transcoding.
The data flow is as follows: RF protocol A->transcoding->RF protocol B.
The transcoder is used to translate frames from one protocol to another protocol on ON/OFF actions.
32 RF frames can be transcoded to ON/OFF (total of 64 frames). There are basically 2 groups of
parameters, those related to the input protocol and those related to the output protocol.
INPUT PROTOCOL
You can choose between 3 acquisition modes:
- Manual mode. To see the exact value of the parameters, you can go to the System tab and set
Format to "Text». The log at the bottom gives you the list of incoming frames with their parameters.
- «Capture on-the-fly". This mode allows you to acquire on-the-fly parameters without having to
supply them by hand. In this case, first SET MANUALLY THE INPUT PROTOCOL (Pre-filtering) AND
THEN EXCITATE the RF Source to send frames. You can break this learning mode by pressing the
RFPLAYER lateral button (or Timeout after 1mn).
- «Keep As» mode. In this case, the input parameters have already been acquired, you only want
to change the output protocol parameters.
Remember to fill-in the user reminder. The user reminder is stored in RFPLAYER and not the present
configurator.
OUTPUT PROTOCOL
The output protocol parameters are similar to those described in the «Transmitter» tab.
Note:
PARROT can also perform a tiny transcoding (on itself and on its A/B group). The transcoder
has priority over the tiny transcoding of PARROT.
