The condition of the spark plug is critical to ensuring the engine works correctly.
At the slightest detection of engine failure, the first step is to inspect the spark plug and replace it if the outer
insulation is broken or chipped.
If dirty, clean the inside of the spark plug with a scraper. If you have any reason to believe it may not be working
correctly, replace it with a new one.
The distance between the spark plug electrodes should range from 0.7 to 0.8 mm.

SPARK PLUG (NGK) BPR6ES, OR SPARK PLUG (DENSE) W20EPR-U, or the equivalent by other spark plug brands.
· Only replace the spark plug once the engine has cooled down. If the spark plug is removed when
very hot, this may result in burns and
When inserting the plug, screw it in with your hand without using a wrench until screwed right down. Once
screwed down, tighten with the spark plug wrench.
NOTE: The spark plug must be tightened sufficiently to ensure that it does not take in air from the sealing ring,
which may lead the engine to heat up and become damaged.
REPLACING THE BLADES
The blades suffer natural wear and tear over time, and must be periodically replaced. The wear and tear will occur
according to the work carried out. The blades must be replaced when the working depth is insufficient with the
depth lever in the lowest position
FIG. 18
· To replace the blades, please contact a BENZA distributor
· The blades are extremely sharp, becoming even sharper with wear and tear and hence more dan-
gerous.
· Never touch the blades while the engine is running, always removing the spark plug cap before
handling them.
· Always wear sturdy gloves when handling the blades
· READ THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (pp. 27 and 28)
LEANING THE MACHINE
· NOTE: When cleaning your machine with water, always be very careful not to wet the engine, as this may lead to
water getting on parts such as the carburettor, air filter, ON switch or exhaust pipe, thus damaging the machine.
· We recommend cleaning the machine with compressed air, a brush or cloth.
