Always check the following before and after using the A 314 mesh
tray:
- Is the injector manifold screwed tight to the mesh tray?
- Are the hose connections at the injector manifolds free of block-
ages?
- Are the silicone hoses on the mesh tray connected securely to the
injector manifold?
- Are there any signs of wear on the silicone hoses or the Luer Lock
adapters?
Replace the silicone hoses on the mesh tray after approx. 25 pro-
gramme sequences or as soon as there are visible signs of wear.
Testing lumened instruments within the framework of
quality assurance tests
 Risk of chemical burns from alkaline residues.
Even minimal amounts of alkaline detergent residues can cause
chemical burns to the retina.
After machine reprocessing, check the pH value of the residual wa-
ter in the instruments.
Residual water must be expelled from lumened instruments using
medical compressed air. This procedure also verifies that lumens
are clear.
Check the pH value of the water droplets that come out of the in-
struments using indicator paper with increments of ≤ 0.5. The pH
value should be between 5 and 8.
In the event of a blockage or reduced clearance, remove the offend-
ing particles or blockage manually.
Then, even if the pH value deviates from neutral:
Reprocess the lumened instruments.
If the pH is still not neutral after reprocessing, contact Miele to ar-
range for further analysis of the problem.
