Install the Hardware

The AXIS 291 Video Server Rack is designed for use with Axis Blade Video Servers only.
The location the AXIS 291 1U Video Server Rack is used in must meet the following requirements:
• The power source must be located within 1.8 meters
• There must be a minimum of 50 mm free space on each side, to ensure adequate
ventilation
• No excessive dust
Perform the hardware installation in the following order:

1. Place on a Flat Surface

or
Install in a 19" Equipment Rack
2. Install Blade Video Servers
3. Connect I/O Terminal Connector
4. Connect Power
Place on a Flat Surface
Note
The AXIS Video Server Rack including cables weighs up to 6 kg. Check that the surface
can support this weight.
1. Attach the four rubber feet on the bottom of the unit.
2. Place the unit on a flat surface, for example a shelf or a table.
A half-duplex RS485 interface for controlling auxiliary
equipment such as PTZ devices.
