DONNING
Elongate the straps of the head harness as much as possible; put
the harness behind the neck and put the chin into the face seal,
keeping the two lower straps opened with the hands. Pull the mask
over the head and adjust it on the face. Be sure that hair does not
remain trapped between seal and forehead.
Adjust the side straps, then the upper straps and finally the lower
ones. Do not tighten the straps excessively.
DOFFING
To take off, pull head harness buckle tabs away from face to
loosen harness straps, then pull chin area away and upwards from
face.
USER SEAL CHECK
Perform both negative and positive seal check each time before
you enter a contaminated area.
Negative pressure seal check
Cover the filter and gently inhale and hold your breath. The
facepiece should slightly collapse. If air leakage is detected, re-
adjust the position of the facepiece and the tension of both head
straps and repeat the seal check until leakage is eliminated.
Positive pressure seal check
Cover the exhale valve vent and exhale gently to create a slight
positive pressure. If air leakage is detected, re-adjust the position
of the facepiece and the tension of both head straps and repeat
the seal check until leakage is eliminated.
WARNING
If you cannot obtain a proper fit, do not enter the contaminated
area and see your supervisor.
Seal check your respirator each time before you enter and
periodically while wearing the respirator in the contaminated area.
MAINTENANCE
The effective life of the respirator will be influenced by the use
conditions and contaminants to which it is exposed. It is highly
recommended to follow next steps after every use:
1. Check if the material shows any signs of cracking, wrinkling, or
aging. If so, then discard the facepiece immediately.
2. Store the respirator, cleaned, in a sealed bag.
CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
Cleaning is recommended after each day's use or more frequently
if necessary:
1. Remove the filters before proceeding with the cleaning.
2. Gently scrub the facepiece with a soft brush in a mild
germicidal detergent, rinse with clean water and air dry. Don't
use solvents to wipe or clean the facepiece as these will reduce
the life of the respirator and pose a health hazard to the user.
3. Dry the full face mask thoroughly.
STORAGE
When not in use or during storage, do not expose respirator to
excessive heat (above 50ºC) or hazardous substances.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
In case of cracking, wrinkling or aging, replacement parts can be
replaced without using any tools.
