PowerMid Plus
Description:
The PowerMid Plus kit consists of an 8in1 remote control and a PowerMid receiver.
The 8 in 1 remote control transmit RF signals through walls and floors. The PowerMid receiver
receives these commands and convert them into infrared signal to control A/V equipments in
other rooms.
The 8 in 1 remote control also sends infrared signal so it is still possible to control equipment
in line of sight as well as remotly via the PowerMid receiver. e.g. it is possible to control the
bed room TV and the DVD in the living room at the same time.
Conform use :
The PowerMid Plus kit must be used inside only. Avoid strong mechanical stress, extreme
temperatures or high humidity. Never pour liquid out over the kit. In this case, disconnect the
kit from the power.
To avoid lightning damages, the device must be disconnected in case of thunder.
Don't leave packaging material unattended. Plastic foils, bags and styrofoam parts etc. may
become a dangerous toy for children. Keep the product away from children.
A different use to the one described bellow is prohibited and may cause damage to the kit.
Limits of guarantee :
The appliance must not be changed or dismantled. The entire product may not be modified.
It is prohibited to open the housing. Defected pieces must be replaced by original parts. Any
operation on the appliances must be done by qualified technicians.
In case of damages due to a non-respect of the user guide, the guarantee does not apply.
Installation of the PowerMid receiver :
Plug the PowerMid receiver into a 230V/50Hz outlet in the room where your VCR, Satellite
receiver, DVD, etc. is located (within 6 meters in line of sight). Point the front of the
PowerMid receiver towards the equipment you want to control. Fully extend the antenna.
The distance between the 8 in 1 remote and the PowerMid receiver can be 15 to 25 meters,
depending on local circumstances.
In case you can not place the PowerMid receiver in line of sight with your A/V equipment, or
in case your equipment is located in a closed cabinet, add an infrared extender (sold separately,
ask your distributor)
Add more receivers to control A/V equipment in multiple rooms.
No extra setup for the PowerMid receiver is needed. You will find the instructions regarding
the Setup of the 8 in 1 remote further on in this manual.
Because the 8 in 1 remote control is sending RF and infrared signal at the same time, you
can first test the 8in1 in front of your equipment and then use the PowerMid receiver.
