MAINTENANCE
The lifetime of the wheel dolly depends on its maintenance.
The wheel dolly must be maintained and prepared as per the manufacturer's instructions.
Important: Entrust maintenance and repair of the wheel dolly with skilled personnel, able to master the operation of the hydraulic systems used in these provisions.
When the wheel dolly is no longer used, maintain it in the lower position, with the valve closed. Keep the wheel dolly and handles clean. Lubricate moving parts regularly.
- To check or top up the oil, retract the piston completely, remove the filling plug, and empty the oil into a container. Once it is in the horizontal position, fill the appropriate volume of oil corresponding to the
indications supplied for the model. The part table shown here indicates the oil volume necessary. Prevent contamination of the oil by dirt. After a period of intense use, change the oil to extend the lifetime of the
wheel dolly.
Important: Excess oil can render the wheel dolly inoperative.
Use only hydraulic oil of the HL or HM type, with an ISO kinematic viscosity grade of 30 cSt at 40º or Engler viscosity of 3 at 50ºC.
- Ensure the supply hoses are neither damaged, bent or worn. Do not install loads under them nor place them near sources of heat or hit them. To ensure proper operation of the equipment or prevent any breakage,
the hoses must be as straight as possible, without twist, sharp bends or angles. Also check that the connection has been made properly. Never disconnect a hose without depressurizing the system beforehand.
- Use only original parts.
- Never modify a wheel dolly.
Symptom
Wheel dolly cannot lift load or pump feels spongy
Wheel dolly lift load, but cannot hold
Wheel dolly can not lower completely
Wheel dolly cannot reach maximum height
- If the wheel dolly is not used, check that the lifting arm is folded to prevent any corrosion. If required, apply an anti-corrosion product to the piston.
- Store the wheel dolly in a clean and dry location, away from children.
- When the wheel dolly is out of use, drain the oil and entrust it with an authorized agent, then dispose the wheel dolly as set out in local regulations.
- The repair kit, composed of O-rings and wheel dolly pads, as well as all spare parts, must be ordered using the reference in the table.
