Operations
Assemble the Contactor Relay in the following sequence:
1.
The two batteries are electrically connected together
when either battery voltage is above 13.2V for 2 minutes
(e.g. during charging).
2.
The two batteries are isolated when both battery
voltages are below 12.7V for 1 minute.
3.
The BOOST function connects the two batteries to
provide more starting energy.
• To enable the BOOST function, connect the violet
wire to 12V DC via a momentary switch or through
the ignition switch.
4.
The STATUS indicator and the on-board LED are turned
on when the two batteries are connected together.

Connections
1.
Disconnect the battery or switch it off with the master
disconnect switch before installation.
2.
Connect the 48530/48525 MAIN BAT + stud to the positive
terminal of the main battery (also called starting battery or
chassis battery). Use appropriate heavy gauge cable and
proper fusing.
3.
Connect the 48530/48525 AUXILIARY BAT+stud to the
positive terminal of the auxiliary battery (also called the
coach battery). Use appropriate heavy gauge cable and
proper fusing.
4.
Connect black "Ground" wire to ground.
5.
Optional circuit connections:
• Connect violet "Boost" wire to a normally open
momentary switch. Connect the other side of the
switch to +12V DC.
• Connect white "Status" wire to a 12V DC, 50mA max.
audio/visual alarm. Connect the other side of the alarm
+12V DC.
• Unused wires should be capped or otherwise insulated
from active circuitry.
6.
Reconnect the batteries.
