PRECAUTIONS
• Do not expose the unit to rain or moisture to avoid the risk of
fi re or electric shock.
• Do not touch the power plug when your hands are wet to avoid
risk of electric shock.
• Do not remove the case. Accidentally touching an internal part
may result in serious electric shock.
• If a metal object such as a hair pin or a needle comes into
contact with the power socket on the rear panel, a dangerous
electric shock may occur.
• Keep children away from the unit, to avoid unnecessary risk of
harm to the child.
• Always remove the plug from an AC outlet by pulling on the
plug, not the cable.
• Position the AC cable so it will not be stepped on, tripped over,
nor subjected to damage.
• Plug the AC cable only into a grounded AC outlet.
• Unravel the AC power cord before use.
• In case of an abnormality in the equipment, ensure the
equipment is plugged into an outlet that can be easily accessed,
so that the plug may be disconnected from the outlet.
• To avoid equipment damage, do not connect to a transceiver
that operates on a voltage other than 13.8 V DC or exceeds the
current rating.
• Do not expose the unit to long periods of direct sunlight, nor
place it close to heating appliances.
• Do not place the unit in excessively dusty and/or humid areas,
nor on unstable surfaces.
• Do not block the power supply air vent. Do not cover the unit.
To maintain good ventilation, place the unit at least 10 cm (4
inches) away from the wall.
• Do not use solvents such as benzene or paint thinner to clean
the unit. Use a silicone or a clean, dry cloth.
• Do not install this equipment in a constricted location, such as a
book case.
• If you detect an abnormal odor or smoke coming from the unit,
turn OFF the power immediately and disconnect the power
cord. Contact your KENWOOD service center or dealer.

• This power supply is for use with a transceiver . Do not use the
power supply with other products.
• Before connecting the DC power cable to the transceiver
terminal, or removing it from the terminal, turn the power supply
power OFF.
• For connection instructions, refer to the transceiver instruction
manual.
• When placing the power supply beside the transceiver, adjust
the power supply bail to an appropriate angle. You can further
use commercially available rubber pads/ feet to adjust the angle
to match that of the transceiver.
