The Li battery is not charged when you receive it.
The battery must therefore be charged before you
use the tool for the rst time.
Please refer to the mains voltage shown on the
model plate.
A new battery will reach its full capacity after it
has been charged and discharged approximately
ve times.
Li batteries will discharge even if they are not in
use. You should therefore charge them at regular
intervals.
Never discharge the battery completely.
The battery will last for longer if it is used regularly
and then recharged.
To operate the cordless screwdriver
Charge the battery before you use the cordless
screwdriver for the rst time.
Switch on
Press the top half of the ON/OFF switch (2) to
make the screwdriver rotate clockwise.
Press the bottom half of the ON/OFF switch (2) to
make the screwdriver rotate anti-clockwise.
Top = Insert screws
Bottom = Remove screws
Switch o
Release the ON/OFF switch (2).
The spindle is locked when the screwdriver is
switched o . This means that you can use the
screwdriver to insert and remove screws even if
the battery is discharged.
Charge the battery
Connect the power supply (7) to a 230-240V~
50Hz socket. (Important. Check the voltage on
the model plate).
Plug the adapter into the mains socket on the
rear handle of the cordless screwdriver. (B1)
Charge time approx. 5-7 hours.
Allow the cordless screwdriver to cool before you
recharge it.
Check the charge status of the cordless screw-
driver
Press the button on the right-hand side of the
screwdriver (B2 ). Three status LED's show the
charge status of the battery.
Red, yellow and green all lit: Battery fully char-
ged
Red and yellow lit: Battery at half charge
Red lit: Battery almost discharged
Working with the cordless screwdriver
Screwdriver bit
Place the required screwdriver bit straight into
the chuck on the drive shaft.
General instructions
Ensure that the bit ts the screw and screw size
precisely.
If you use bits that are too small or too large
you will damage the screwdriver head. This is
particularly important for screws that have to be
tightened or undone frequently.
Check the di erence between PZ (Pozidriv) and
PH (Phillips) bits. If you tighten a PZ screw with
a PH bit, you will damage the chuck in the screw
head.
Unsuitable bits may slip o the screw and cause
injuries.
