Cleaning and maintenance

CAUTION:
Always be sure that the ice maker is unplugged and completely cooled before
cleaning or attempting to store the item. NEVER IMMERSE ice maker in water or
any other liquid.
In order to keep ice tasting fresh and your ice maker looking great, it is
recommended to clean it at least once per week during regular use.
1. Before performing any cleaning or maintenance to this unit:
2. Next, drain any remaining water out of the water reservoir by unplugging the
plastic plug found on the bottom of the unit. It can be found under the water
reservoir. Make sure to return plug, securely, when finished draining.
3. Wipe the outer surface of the ice maker base with a warm damp cloth and dry
with a soft dry cloth.
4. Hand wash the removable ice tray and ice scoop in warm soapy water. Rinse
& dry.
5. Using a soft cloth and diluted solution of water and white vinegar, wipe out
the water reservoir, the liner below the ice pegs, the ice pegs, and the
automatic ice shovel.
6. Rinse all parts wiped down with clean water. Drain all water and make sure to
replace the plug tightly. Leave the lid open to allow the unit to dry completely.
7. Do not immerse the ice maker base in water or any other liquid.
8. DO NOT clean your ice maker with flammable fluids. The fumes can create a
fire hazard or explosion.
