Using Your Thermophore Classic™ or
Themophore MaxHEAT™ Fleece Cover
Two-Layer Cover with
Moist-Sure™ technology -
No water to add!
Slide the Thermophore
with your system. DO NOT use the heating unit without the cover,
and do not add additional layers of insulating cover.
DO NOT add water to the Thermophore Classic™ or MaxHEAT™
Systems. The outer cover is designed to absorb moisture from
the atmosphere between uses and release the moisture when
heat is activated. Your skin should feel slightly damp from the
water vapor condensed during the treatment, but will not be
dripping wet. If you feel your cover is no longer producing
enough moisture, you may simply need to wash it, or to let it
rest in an area of high humidity (perhaps near your shower or
laundry, where the air contains more moisture) for a few hours.
Caution: Do not put the inner heating unit of the Thermophore
Pack in or near water.
It is very important to keep the heating unit flat inside the cover.
Folded or overlapping areas of the heating unit could intensify
the heat. This could damage the unit, burn the user or cause a
fire. Feel inside the cover with your hand to make sure the heat-
ing unit is flat and wrinkle-free. Before each use, check the heat-
ing unit to be sure it has remained flat inside the cover.
Position the cover and heating pad assem-
bly over the area of the body needing heat
therapy. If you have purchased the Petite 4"
x 17" heat pack, it has a Velcro strap to help
hold it in place on small joints such as the
ankle, elbow, neck or jaw. The Multi-function
Muff unit has three Velcro straps, to allow us-
ing it flat or forming it into a tube to enclose
both hands, a thigh, knee or elbow.
Please note the UL-required warning:
Do not sit or lay on the Thermophore
heating unit into the fleece cover provided
®
heat pack.
